The first half-term has flown by and we have had a lot of fun. We have been learning about transport and building our own ‘sail cars’ as well as learning about mammals and woodland habitats. In History, we have learned about the school system in Ireland and its founders. We have played lots of maths games and we have been writing letters to authors – here’s hoping we get replies! We have created drawings of famous landmarks around the world and we have composed a number of pieces, including a rap and a soundscape to accompany a story. In P.E., we have been focussing on the fundamental movement skills of walking and throwing. We have played games and even attempted a class ‘elephant walk’ – we worked really well as a team to get over the line. Sna ceachtanna Gaeilge, bhÃomar ag iarraidh léamh agus aistriúchán, ag comhrá i mbeirteanna agus ag scrÃobh i nGaeilge. All in all, it has been a very successful few weeks and we are looking forward to a well-earned break!
